Silbury Hill stands today at a height of around 39 metres.

The ravages of time have not been kind, and the investigative digging by antiquarians and archaeologists over the years has not helped.

Here, possibly for the first time, an estimation of the original size and shape is given, and computer graphichs have been used to show how it may have appeared over four millennia ago, when it was newly constructed.

Today it is covered by grass and wild flowers, but originally it would have been gleaming white, as it was made of chalk.   The pyramids of Egypt were also faced with white stone.  Can we suggest a connection, or is it merely a coincidence?

The symbolism of Silbury Hill is described in "The Bones of Stonehenge", and a purpose is suggested.   The booklet "Silbury Hill Restored" adds to that information.
