Reverse Engineering Stonehenge Reverse Engineering Stonehenge - A Remarkable Scientific Instrument

Was Stonehenge an observatory? Yes indeed it was!

The alignment of the monument with the summer solstice sunrise has been well known for many years.  The alignment with the winter solstice sunset has been recognised more recently, and may have been more significant.  These alignments were probably more important for ceremonial purposes than for scientific purposes.

For the first time, many additional alignments are published, and are detailed within "Reverse Engineering Stonehenge".  These demonstrate that Stonehenge was primarily a functional scientific instrument, used for measuring angles.  The angles of interest were the rising and setting bearings of the sun, moon, and stars.  It was therefore possible, over a period of time, to map the entire visible sky.

Certain important alignments have been discovered in addition to the known alignments of summer solstice sunrise and winter solstice sunset.  These additional alignments include:

Summer solstice sunset, winter solstice sunrise, equinox sunrise, equinox sunset, moonrise and moonset for the northern maxima,
moonrise and moonset for the northern minima,  moonrise and moonset for the southern maxima,  and moonrise and moonset for the southern minima.

Probably the most surprising and exciting discovery is that they divided the circle into 36 equal segments of 10 degrees.  We can surmise that each segment was divided further to give an improved angular resolution.  It may well be that they divided the circle into 360 degrees.  This was achieved by around 2500 BC.  This was many centuries before the Babylonians did the same.  The history books will have to be re-written!

The method of usage as an observatory is beautifully simple in principle, and yet the complexity of implementation is masterful in its conception. When you see it for yourself, you will gain an even deeper respect for the creators of Stonehenge, and I feel that is not possible to be unmoved by it. It is a wonderful paradox that it is only by seeing the complexity can we appreciate the simplicity. It really is marvellous!

Summary of discoveries:

- That Stonehenge at phase 3 was indeed an astronomical observatory, but used in a non-obvious way.

The Bones of Stonehenge The Bones of Stonehenge - Why Stonehenge Was Created

Many ground-breaking discoveries are presented in "The Bones of Stonehenge". You will not find this information elsewhere at this time.

Good evidence has been found which demonstrates that Stonehenge was indeed an astronomical observatory. This book includes the information from "Reverse Engineering Stonehenge".

An equally exciting and remarkable series of discoveries have uncovered certain details of their religious beliefs.  These findings are entirely new, are most unexpected, and require some explaining!

The religious beliefs contain certain elements that have filtered down into Greek mythology.  Other elements, with a little interpretation, may be the root of the more local mythologies.  Even more surprisingly, there are some significant elements that have filtered down into the Abrahamic religions, namely Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.  If you are a member of one of these religions, you will benefit greatly by reading this book.

How is it possible that these religious beliefs made their way between ancient Britain and the East?  Possibly there was an intermediate step:  Zoroastrianism.

The people of ancient Iran were Mazdayasni Zarathushtris, Worshippers of Ahura Mazda (the name of God) as revealed by the prophet Zarathushtra.  However, the ancient Zoroastrian scriptures speak of an earlier homeland from where the people came, the lost "Airyane Vaejahi".  Is it possible that Britain was that ancient seedland?

We know that ancient Iran was far advanced in the study of science and geometry.  The Babylonians are generally credited with dividing the circle into 360 degrees for example.  But did they get the idea from the earlier work at Stonehenge, or was it an entirely independant development?  The commonality of certain religious beliefs implies a strong linkage.

If we credit that the people of ancient Britain strongly influenced the Zoroastrian faith, this is a remarkable finding indeed.  In turn, from Zoroastrianism, the four main faiths of Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are thought to have sprung.  Indeed, Zoroastrianism can be fairly said to be the “mother” faith of mankind.  From Hinduism has sprung Jainism and Buddhism.

The people of Stonehenge were clearly far advanced in their understanding of astronomy.  It may be that their influence, both scientific and religious, upon the world of today is considerably more profound than anybody had previously realised.  We must learn from them, from their triumphs and indeed from their disasters, in order to bring a genuine and lasting peace to the world of today.

This book is dedicated to the cause of peace in the modern world. There is a very real sense that the people of Stonehenge are calling out to us across the time span of four or five millennia, and we must listen to their message.

Summary of discoveries:

- That Stonehenge at phase 3 was indeed an astronomical observatory, but used in a non-obvious way.
- Carvings particularly on bluestones in the Preseli Mountains of Wales depicting their religious beliefs.
- An understanding of Silbury Hill, and the significance of the sunrise over it at the time of autumn equinox.
- Carvings of scenes cut into the surface of the ground, particularly significant at Stanton Drew.
- Various new interpretations of archaeological data.
- Surveyed Woodhenge and discovered its significance.
- Found linkages with megaliths in Japan.

A Neolithic Pilgrimage A Neolithic Pilgrimage - Through the Sacred Landscape Around Avebury

This booklet describes a journey of discovery through the sacred landscape around Avebury.

By piecing together snippets of information gathered from a number of sources, including direct observation, and by filling in the inevitable gaps in our knowledge using a little imagination, a pilgrimage route has been created.  It takes us to a number of significant places in the vicinity of Avebury, through the lush green rolling countryside.

As we make our journey, we can strip away our cares of today, and the manic pace of modern life, and put ourselves, in our imagination, back in time by four thousand years.

Every pilgrimage must have a destination, and this is no exception.  It is a most unexpected and remarkable quest, and preserves an ancient symbolism that is quite shocking in its way, with implications that are hard to comprehend.

Please do allow me to be your guide, and if you make this journey soberly and with a sincere heart, you will never again be the same person.  It will change the way that you perceive the world forever, for the real journey of discovery is within.
